Howard W. Stultz Jr., 80, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at his residence.
Howard was born June 3, 1945, in Fostoria, to the late Howard W. Sr. and Viola A. (Ardner) Stultz. He married Ruth Ann (Lortz) at St. Mary Catholic Church on June 13, 1981 and she survives.
Other survivors include his children, Howard W. (Lauren) Stultz III of Tiffin, Nicholas (Trisha) Stultz of Waterville, Lynn (Tim) Krupp of Bascom, Lisa (Daye) Harter of San Antonio, TX, and Laura (Matt) Wentling of Carey, twelve grandchildren, Lukas, Evan, Xavier, Jeffrey, Emma, Claire, Kourtney, Kyleigh, Alexandar, Viktoria, Paige and Tyler, four great-grandchildren, Remington, Thaddeus, Hendrix and Hudson, three brothers, James (Brenda) Stultz of Tiffin, Timothy (Kim) Stultz of Tiffin, Kevin Stultz of Fayetteville, NC, three sisters, Mary Bean of Tiffin, Becky (Don) Hoepf of Tiffin, and Gail (Tom) Boes of New Riegel, and a brother-in-law, Harold Brickner of Tiffin.
Howard was a lifelong educator, coach and bus driver. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Cursillio. He was a two time State Champion coaching both 1980 and 1981 Calvert High School Football teams. He enjoyed Indian Lake and Lake Erie and Fishing. He is the 2025 Calvert Hall of Fame Inductee and just enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Howard was a 1963 graduate of Calvert High School and a 1972 graduate of Heidelberg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Howard and Ruth Ann hosted many exchange students over the years.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Ethan Stultz a sister, Linda Brickner, a brother-in-law, Larry Bean and a niece, Rachel Boes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, from 4-7 p.m., at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday, at St. Mary Catholic cemetery with Military Honor's being rendered by the United Veterans Council.
