Irene Louise Boos

Irene Louise Boos, 94, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

Irene was born July 28, 1930, in Bascom, to the late Bruce and Evelyn (Comer) Berrier. She married Richard Dale Boos in Tiffin, on August 1, 1948 and he died August 21, 2017.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (Tom) Pahl of Carey, Lydia (Richard) Thomas of New Riegel, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a brother, Jack (Vicky) Berrier of Bascom.

Irene worked at GEM Manufacturing and was a member of Hopewell Church of God.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Diane Thomas, two brothers, David “Sonny” Berrier, Dean Berrier, sisters, Sandra Cale, Barbara Haugh and Rose Schubert.

The family of Irene would like to offer a special thanks to all the staff of St. Francis, and the Chiara unit staff for their excellent care given to their mother during this time.

Funeral services for Irene will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Brittany Bouillon officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow services on Wednesday at Sandridge cemetery.
