Jack Bailes

Jack Bailes, 69, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

Jack was born in Germany, on February 21, 1957 to William Bailes and Elviria (Pretsch) Cassell. He married Jennifer (Plavic) in Bloomville on July 29, 2000.

Surviving, his wife of almost 26 years, Jennifer (Plavic) Bailes.  His mother, Elviria Cassell of Bloomville, three children, Josh (Melinda) Bailes of Bloomville, Codey (Renee) Bailes of Texas, Jack James (Ariel) Bailes of Upper Sandusky, six grandchildren, a brother, Ron (Terry) Bailes of Bloomville, and a sister, Marlene (Nancy) Bailes of Napa Valley, CA.

Jack worked for the Cleveland Post Office and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an outdoorsman who earned his GED from John Marshall High School in Cleveland. Jack was a United States Marine Veteran serving during Vietnam.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, William Bailes.

There will be no funeral services held at this time. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
