James A. Kuhn, 97, of Attica, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
James was born on December 3, 1927 in New Philadelphia, OH to the late Marvin Bennet and Catherine (Shivers) Kuhn. He married Alverta “Birdie” (Clabugh), in Bloomville, on May 18, 1976 and she survives in Attica.
Other survivors include his children, James A. (Ann) Kuhn II of Spencerville, OH, Jamie Ayres of Columbus and Dian (Bob) Holmer of Willard, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
James worked as a boiler operator for Pioneer Rubber. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 260 in Attica.
James was preceded in death by his parents, a step-son, Dennis Athy, a step-daughter, Robin Marker, two step-grandchildren, a brother, George Kuhn and two sisters, Dorothy Casebeard and Helen Coverty.
The family would like to thank Autwmnwood Care Center in Tiffin for their exceptional care shown to James during his stay.
There will be a Celebration for James's life at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Attica Area Memorial Park. Burial will be held at Attica Venice cemetery at a later date. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Attica Volunteer Fire Department or Attica American Legion.
