I am so saddened to hear of Jim's passing. My deepest sympathies to your family.. My late husband Tom and I both worked with Jim at Brush Wellman (Materion) .  Tom shared many interests with Jim including the love of Blue Birds. We have a long fence line dedicated to Blue Bird Houses. I will be thinking of Jim as I repair and replace those little homes.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Jim's passing, we were classmates and actually became closer in later years because of our mutual interest in the preservation and protection of our Blue Birds.  Jim was an expert and I was a student- I am forever Thankful for the knowledge he passed on to me; I will forever miss his emails of inquiry as to how my BB's are doing as well as the information and updates about his BB trails and populations.  Jim leaves a wonderful legacy in the Birding World.  You are Missed Jim!  My Sympathy and Condolences go out to your Family, Friends, and those close to You,,

I saw a bluebird box yesterday and it made me sad...Jim would not have liked that.  There are so many birds that are gone to another place....someone was needed to build boxes, walk trails and just care about them.  I know of no better choice than this gentle caring man....I shall miss him.       John Millar
