James Dales

James Dales, 74 of Republic, died Tuesday May 11, 2021, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, after a brief illness.

James was born on February 21, 1947, in Grundy, Virginia, to the late Kelley and Faye (Stiltner) Dales. He married Evelyn Pollitt in 1973,in Grundy, Virginia, and she survives in Republic.

Survivors include seven children, Rocky Moore of Clyde, Elizabeth (Tim) Seekford of Bettsville, David (Tima) Moore of Bloomville, Melody  (Greg) Fellhauer of Sandusky, Karen Wilhelm of Fremont, Gary (Oralia) Moore of Tiffin, and Brenda Moore of Tiffin, a brother, David (Evelyn) Dales of Green Springs, three sisters, Violet Mincer of Oak Harbor, Patricia Fitzpatrick of Bellevue, and Della Deel of Republic, numerous grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Robin Simon.

James work as a machinist at Atlas in Fremont until retiring. He enjoyed working in his shop, and working on cars, and riding motorcycles, and especially helping other people.

At James request there will be no services or burial at this time. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19 Bloomville, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
