James Erwin Seyer, 86, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
Jim was born on April 2, 1938 in Findlay, to the late Clarence Seyer and Marvelyn (Davis) Van Houten. He married Shirley Ann (Miller) in Bloomville, on June 11, 1960 and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include a son, James A. Seyer of Naperville, IL, a daughter, Jacqueline K. (David) Dutton of Royse City, TX, five grandchildren, a brother, Jerry A. (Nina) Seyer of Bucyrus and nieces and nephews.
Jim worked as a Teacher and District Sales Manager for National Machinery for 40 years and also spent 2 years in Germany working for National Machinery. He was a graduate of Bloomville High School and went on to earn his Masters Degree from Bowling Green State University. Jim was Masonic Lodge Member, Past District Deputy Grand Master, Past President of Shrine Club, 32 Degree Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, Past Master of Masonic Lodge in Bloomville, Lodge Chapter Council & Commander, Zenobia Shrine of Toledo and was a member of Bloomville United Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Jim will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 5-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Woodlawn cemetery in Bloomville.
