James L. “Jimmy” Smith, 84, of Attica, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin after a brief illness.
Jimmy was born on September 4, 1940 in Bucyrus to the late Robert L. Smith and Anna Lucille Ayres.
Survivors include, Fred (Val) Darling of Attica, Bryan Darling of Toledo, Jason (Jackie) Darling of Attica, Brandon (Nicki) Darling of Attica, several cousins and many close friends.
Jimmy was a former employee of Seneca Tile in St. Stephens and was a member of Attica Community Church. He was a 1961 graduate of Attica High School, and enjoyed making Maple Syrup with the Weaver’s Maple Syrup Camp and also liked yodeling.
Funeral services for Jimmy will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Rev. Ron Spyker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Saturday, at Attica Venice cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca East Public Library, Attica-Venice-Reed Volunteer Fire Department or Attica Senior Fair. On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
