Janice K. Nye

Janice K. Nye, 80, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at her residence.

Janice was born November 11, 1944, in Tiffin, to the late George and Velma (Kopp) Thompson. She married Gary Nye in Tiffin on April 23, 1966 and he survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include her two sons, Michael (Kimberly) Nye of Tiffin and Christopher Nye of Mentor, three grandchildren, Christian, Erika and Kenzie Nye, and a sister, Georgia Orians of Findlay.

Janice retired from Mercy Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the OB Department. She was a member of Republic United Church of Christ. Janice was a 1963 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sailing Lake Erie and camping with her family.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a Memorial Service held for Janice at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Rev. Darla Metz officiating. There will be no visitation or burial held at this time.
