Jean E. Fulton, 92, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday morning, October 6, 2021, at her home in New Haven.
Jean was born October 13, 1928 in Willard, to Harold and Minnie Hansman. She married Joseph Junior Fulton on December 8, 1946 in Willard, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2013.
Survivors include her children, Susan McKown of Willard, John (Claudette) Fulton of Willard, Rebecca (Tom) Gremmer of Willard and William (Mary) Fulton of Huntsville, Ohio, a daughter-in-law Rosmary Fulton of Willard, seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Maxine Robinson of Willard, a brother, Richard (Harriet) Van Allen of Utah and numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Sandy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, a son, Joseph R. Fulton, her parents, William Max and Marie Van Allen, a sister, Alberta Finkler and a son in-law, Greg McKown.
Jean was a 1946 graduate of Willard High School and a member of the Willard Christian Reformed Church, Superior Chapter Order of the Eastern Stars in Willard. She worked in the Traffic Department of Midwest Industries in Willard and retired after 30 years.
She cherished her family and having large family gatherings. After her retirement she and her husband spent winters in Bullhead City, AZ, and enjoyed frequenting Loughlin. She enjoyed gardening, and most of all working with children. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, taught children Sunday school and after school programs for many years. Jean volunteered on the church boards, Easter Seals, Willard and Norwalk Age Exchange Program and Habitat for Humanity and the local Board of Elections as a Poll worker.
Funeral services for Jean will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Willard Christian Reformed Church on 4180 S. SR.103 Willard, with Rev. Kenneth Gifford of the Poland United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Monday, from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service at the church. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19 Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Willard Christian Reformed Church, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
