Jeanette M. Detrich, 82, of Attica, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont.
Jeanette was born October 27, 1939, in Oakland, Maryland, to the late James and Ethel (Lantz) Hinebaugh. Her family moved to Willard when she was a child. Jeanette graduated from Willard High School in 1957. She married the love of her life Dale E. Detrich on May 14, 1960.
After working as a payroll clerk for RR Donnelley in Willard, Jan worked at Aukland Flower & Gift Shoppe in Attica. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jan never met a “stranger” and thanked every veteran she passed for their service. She loved to take pictures and was passionate about preserving history, serving as an active member of the Attica Historical Society. Jan enjoyed her flowerbeds, cooking for friends and family and watching the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include sons, Allan (Mary) Detrich of Fremont and Matt (Tammy) Detrich of Fishers, IN, grandchildren, Alissa (Joe) Taylor of Tiffin, Katrina (Fred) Betz of Chelsea, MI, Noah Detrich of Fremont, Lauren Detrich of Indianapolis, IN, Lindsay Detrich of Greenwood, IN and five great-grandchildren.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale Detrich, daughter, Becky Detrich and brother, James Hinebaugh.
Funeral services for Jeanette will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19, Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
