Jeannette Bland, 96, of Tiffin, went to be with her lord on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the St. Catherine's Manor of Fostoria.
Jeannette was born on November 2, 1923, to the late Lowell and Kathryn (Woodruff) Castret. She married Willis Eugene Kerlin and they later divorced and she later married Harry Bland in Tiffin on March 16, 1969 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1999.
Jeannette is survived by her children, Noreen Walters of Findlay, David Kerlin of Findlay, Teresa Doyle of Findlay, Dennis (Mary) Kerlin of Tiffin and Keith (Linda) Kerlin of Greenville, SC, seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, two children, Bill Kerlin, Kenneth Kerlin and two brothers, Carl Castret and Jack Feasel.
Jeannette worked as a nurse for 44 years at Tiffin Mercy Hospital and Fostoria Promedica Hospital. In 1971 she was a voted Nurse of the year by the Tiffin Mercy Hospital Staff. Jeannette was also a member of the New Beginnings Assembly of God and was also a direct descendent of Shawnee Chief Big Thunder.
A graveside service for Jeannette will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Seneca Memory Gardens with Pastor Rex King officiating. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the United Veterans Council.
