Jeffrey Roy Sergent II, 43 of Bloomville, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 in Republic Ohio.
Jeff was born in Commonwealth, Kentucky, on March 5, 1983 to Jeffrey Roy Sergent and the late Betty Fern Pigg. He married Christine R. (Tyree) on February 14, 2017 in Bloomville and she resides in Bloomville, with his step-son, Ryan Maier.
Jeff is also survived by his other six step-children, Danielle, Jerry, Peter, Wednesday, Wyatt, and JoAllyn, his grandchildren, Delilah, Atlas, Violet, and Anastasia, his siblings, Jonathan, Amanda, Jacob, and Cheyenne. Jeff was also deeply loved by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Fern Pigg, and four brothers, Kenneth, Christopher “Shawn”, James, and Joseph.
Jeff had a lifelong passion for fixing things and was always tinkering with one project or another. Whether it had wheels or a motor, he was the happiest working with his hands. He was a loving husband and step father who always put his family first. Above all else, his greatest joy in life was being a grandfather. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, and they were truly the light of his life.
There will be a celebration of Jeff’s life held at a later date. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
