Obituary

Jerald Peter Danhoff, 87, of Attica, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 at The Willows in Bellevue.

Jerry was born June 14, 1935, in Willard to the late Sam and Grace (Lepard) Danhoff. He was a 1953 graduate of Willard High School and spent the majority of his career as a machinist at RR Donnelley and Sons in Willard, retiring in 1997. After retirement, Jerry and his wife Shirley spent their winters in the Vero Beach, Florida area for over a decade.

An avid outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing horseshoes. He would often be found in “the shop” practicing his woodworking skills, and his children and grandchildren were gifted with priceless homemade pieces. Jerry was also an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Shirley (Baker) Danhoff, whom he married on November 27, 1954, four children, Cheryl (Randy) Donnamiller of Shelby, Cathy (Terry) Ludban of Nokomis, Florida, Mike (Elaine) Danhoff of Attica and Nancy (Steve) Albright of Attica, eleven grandchildren, Jared (Kelly) Donnamiller, Megan (Paul) Nalley, Bryan Ludban, Jason (Jennifer) Ludban, Nick (Ashley) Ludban, Lindsey (Zach Oglevee) Danhoff, Hollie Danhoff, Drew (Kristen) Siesel, Brooke (Alan) Truenow, Brian Albright and Brent (Stacey) Albright, fourteen great-grandchildren, (one due in October) who affectionately called him Grandpa Pete, a brother, Richard (Jo) Danhoff of South Carolina and a sister-in-law, Pat Danhoff of New Haven.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and sister-in-law, Robert (Julia) Danhoff and Ronald Danhoff, sisters and brothers–in-law, Phyllis (Art) Heck and Janice (John) Wallace and his step-father, Leland Smith.

Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Ed Hunker officiating.
