Jerry A. Smith

Jerry A. Smith, 68, of Tiffin, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

Jerry was born April 17, 1954, in Florence, Alabama, to the late James Allen and Fannie Mae (Frost) Smith. He married Sandra (Montgomery) in Tiffin on July 25, 2020 and she survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include his daughters, Jessica (Tyler) Hodge of Tiffin, Geri Ellen Hill of Tiffin, April Smith of Fremont, a son Jason Jarrall.  Three step-sons, John Rosipko of Castalia, Mark Rosipko of NC, Joseph Rosipko of Chardon, six grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, a brother, James A. Smith of Washington D.C., three sisters, Edith England of Alabama, Patty (Mike) Mack of Tiffin and Jeanette Spencer of Alabama.

Jerry was a truck driver and a member of the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church. Jerry was  a United States Navy Veteran.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Connie Jewell and a grandson.

Funeral services for Jerry will be at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Rex King officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Thursday, from 11:30 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Thursday at Pleasant Ridge cemetery with military honor's being rendered by the United Veterans Council.
