Jerry Wolfe, 87, of Attica, passed away Friday morning January 29, 2021, at his home in Attica.
Jerry was born September 10, 1933 in Deshler, Ohio, to Willard and Effie (Rader) Wolfe. He married Sara R. Burger on February 10, 1956 in Indiana, and she survives in Attica.
Other survivors include a son, Jeff (Kathy) Wolfe of Attica, three daughters, Karen (Jim) Karr of Oak Harbor, Barbara (Rod) Cramer of Tiffin, and Linda Schultz of Tiffin, eight grandchildren, and several sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Dean, Robert, and Elwin Wolfe, two sisters, Norma Williams and infant sister Agnes Wolfe.
Jerry worked as a Telegrapher for 32 years at the B&O and CSX Railroads. He served as a radio operator in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955. He was a member of the Caulfield American Legion Post #434 in Bloomville. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and flying airplanes and fishing.
It was Jerry’s request that there will be no visitation, and only has graveside services.
A graveside service will be Thursday February 4, 2021, at 11:00 am., at the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Attica, with Pastor Rex King officiating.
Visitors are asked to please wear your masks and practice social distancing during the services.
