Joann “Joanie” M. Cox, 88, of Clyde, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2025 at her residence.
Joann was born on February 12, 1937 in Tiffin, to the late Carl E. and Alice M. (Taylor) Ferguson. She married Melvin Cox in Tiffin in 1967 and he precedes her in death.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Misty) Cox of Fostoria, David (Tammy) Clendenon of Hilliard, one sister, Kathy Matthews of Texas, 9 grandchildren, Kaytlin (Thomas Bethel) Cox, Branden Cox, Brady Cox, Shane Mahoney, Collin Mahoney, Patrick Clendenon, Megan Clendenon, Shawn Clendenon, Kelly (Esteban) Agosto, 4 great-grandchildren, and best friend, Natalie Blankenship.
Joann worked at ECI for 30+ years and was a 1955 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She loved bowling, going shopping, reading a good book, and traveling. What she loved most of all was spending time with her family and friends.
Joann was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two daughters, Katy Arnold and Tammy Grove, one brother, James Ferguson, and companion, Jerry Grassman.
There will be a Celebration of Life held by the family at a later date.
