John C. Klingshirn Sr., 72, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital in Tiffin.
John was born in Tiffin, on July 23, 1948, to the late Otto and Gertrude (Kirian) Klingshirn.
John is survived by his children, John (Kim) Klingshirn Jr. of Tiffin, Martin (Deb) Klingshirn of Tiffin, Russell (Charlotte) Klingshirn of Shippensburg, PA, Frank Klingshirn of Tiffin, a daughter, Natalie Klingshirn of Tiffin, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Otto (Julie) Klingshirn of Tiffin, Mike Klingshirn of Bascom, three sisters, Anna Schoewe of Huron, Mary (Andy) Medina of CO and Helen Sturbaum of Sandusky.
John worked at Atlas Industries. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians. John was a 1966 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during Vietnam.
John was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-laws, Ed Schoewe and Dan Sturbaum.
A graveside service for John will be held at 11:15 a.m., on Friday, January 8, 2021 in the Chapel at Seneca Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 10-11 a.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin where masks and social distancing will be required. Military rites will be rendered by the United Veterans Council.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Seneca County Humane Society.
