John R. Grover, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at The Willows of Tiffin.
John was born on July 26, 1942 in Bucyrus, to the late John A. and Leota (Caris) Grover. He married Anna (Prohaska) in Bucyrus, on January 31, 1964 and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include his children, John R. (Mardawna) Grover of Indianapolis, IN, Susan E. (Jennifer Vance) Grover of Silver Spring, MD, and Paul L. (Heather) Grover of Tiffin, two grandchildren, Nicholas H. Grover of Columbus and Nathan J. Grover of Tiffin and a sister, Ruth E. Grover of Chattanooga, TN.
John retired as an Engineer at National Machinery for 25 years. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. John had a love for Astronomy and how the world worked. He was an avid coin collector, a wonderful pianist, a Cleveland Guardians fan and enjoyed going on many cruises with his wife, Anna.
Funeral services for John will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. There will be no burial held at this time.
