Jon Blaser Obituary

Jon A. Blaser, 81, of Bloomville, passed away at 10:10 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at his residence.

Jon was born September 16, 1940, in Bloomville, to the late Roy and Lola (Bowerman) Blaser. He married Connie (Hossler) at the Bloomville United Church of Christ on September 29, 1963.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Blaser of Bloomville, two daughters, Holly (Dyson) Massengill of Readyville, TN, Heidi (Rusty) Epperson of Salem, Virginia, five grandchildren, Haylee Massengill, Jill Massengill, Kaelyn (Luis) Ramirez, Zac Epperson, Abi Epperson and a great-granddaughter, Ella Rae Ramirez, a brother-in-law, Elbert "Dutch" Edeburn of Bloomville and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Blaser of Bloomville.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul and James Blaser, two sisters, Martha Edeburn and Mary Rice.

Jon retired on April 26, 2005 from National Machinery in Tiffin after 42 years as an Electrician and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Bloomville United Church of Christ. Jon was a volunteer fireman for the Bloomville Volunteer Fire Department where he was involved with wiring the new firehouse. He was a member of the Bloomville Town Council, Caulfield Post 434, Bloomville American Legion and was a 1959 Bloom Township High School graduate. Jon was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1959 until 1962.

Funeral services for Jon will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Bloomville United Church of Christ with the Rev. Tom Kagy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at Woodlawn cemetery in Bloomville. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Bloomville United Church of Christ, Allen Eiry Center or Bloomville Development Group.
