Joseph "Joe" A. Buchanan Jr.

Joseph A. "Joe" Buchanan Jr., 35, of Tiffin, passed away at 7:52 a.m., Saturday, December 25, 2021 in the emergency room at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

Joe was born March 26, 1986, in Tiffin, to Joseph Buchanan Sr. of Bellevue and Tina M. (Smith) Handshoe of Tiffin.

Other survivors include his fiancé, Meagan Wonderly of Tiffin, children, Layla, Camilla and Ryker Glen Buchanan, two step-children, Braxton and Serenity Swartz, three brothers, Acesa Garrard, Dillon Buchanan and Colton Buchanan all of Bellevue, step-father, David Handshoe of Tiffin, step-mother, Christine Buchanan of Bellevue, maternal grandmother, Arlene Smith of Tiffin and many nieces and nephews.

Joe worked with his brother, at Four Brothers construction. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and had a great sense of humor. Joe was kind hearted and always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a 2005 graduate of Bellevue High School.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Buchanan and maternal grandfather, Archie Smith.

Funeral services for Joe will be at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with the Rev. Aaron Gerlach officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Wednesday, from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
