Juanita Alice Martien, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Juanita was born April 3, 1938 in Bloomdale, to the late Homer Scott and Waunna (Mankin) White. She married David Allen Martien at the Pearl Harbor Chapel in Hawaii, on December 8, 1956 and he survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include her children, Mike (Debbie) Martien of Findlay, David (Diane) Martien of Tiffin, Ken (Kaoru) Martien of Tiffin, Darla (Tim) Metz of Tiffin and Krista (Pat) Ward of Chesterfield, MI, fifteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and a brother, Doug (Vickie) White of Findlay.
Juanita was the owner/operator of Dave’s Cart Rental on Put-In-Bay, also Family Billiards in Tiffin and worked at General Electric for ten years. Most of all Juanita was a homemaker and the CEO of her household. She was a member of Republic United Church of Christ, Eastern Stars and a 1956 graduate of Rising Sun High School.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, a great-granddaughter, Peyton Barron, four brothers, Larry, Jack, Ben and Ed White and a sister, Darlene Switzer.
There will be a Celebration of Juanita’s Life held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 5, 2024 at Republic United Church of Christ with Rev. Darla Metz officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be held at Greenlawn cemetery at a later date. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. or to Republic United Church of Christ.
