Kay M. Jones, 83, of Bloomville, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at The Willows of Tiffin.
Kay was born in Cleveland, on February 17, 1942 to the late Robert Wayne and Helen Pauline (Hossler) Leister. She married James “Jim” Jones in Elkhart, IN; on January 7, 1961 he preceded her in death on March 27, 2024.
Survivors include her daughter, Terri Wright of Bloomville, two grandchildren, Jamie (Josh) Lipstraw of Bloomville, Jordan (Mindy) Wright of Blacklick, OH, a sister, Jane (Dan) Thallman of Florida, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (Daryl) Shock of Bloomville, Barb (Bum) Farr of Bloomville and Margaret (Don) Craig of Tiffin, and many nieces and nephews.
Kay worked as a teacher’s aide and secretary at Bloomville High School. She was a former member of young farm wives and a former board member of Bliss Library in Bloomville. Kay was a 1960 graduate of Bloomville High School.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Tami Jones, son-in-law, Kevin Wright and a nephew, Ricky Farr.
Funeral services for Kay will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Thursday, at Woodlawn cemetery.
