Kenneth E. Thallman, 78, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
Kenny was born January 14, 1945, in Tiffin, to the late Willard and Cornelia (Rogers) Thallman. He married Carolyn (Shane) at Bascom United Methodist Church on May 22, 1966 and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kimberly (David) Clouse of Freeland, MI, Kirt (MeiLan) Thallman of Lexington, KY, and Kent (Roxanne) Thallman of Marysville, OH; six grandchildren, Ryan (Alyssa) Clouse, Nathan Thallman, Naomi Thallman, Olivia Thallman, Emily (Christian) Colvin, and Paige Thallman; a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Clouse, and a brother, Don (Janet) Thallman of Fostoria.
Kenny was a 1963 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School where he participated in Future Farmers of America. A lifelong farmer, Kenny also worked as a lineman for Ohio Power for 34 years. He was an active member of the Bascom Community Church his entire life and shared his love for Jesus in many ministries. Kenny also served his country and the community through involvement in the National Guard, Bascom Elevator board, and the Fostoria Sharing Kitchen. He was a devoted family man, and enjoyed helping others, even giving the proverbial shirt off his back. Fishing, fixing things, and spending time with his children and grandchildren were some of his favorite pastimes. He will be sorely missed.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Gerald Thallman.
Funeral services for Kenny will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Bascom Community Church in Bascom. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 4-7:00 p.m. at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday at Seneca Memory Gardens with a lunch at the church after the services.
