Kenneth A. Wolf, 81, of Fremont, departed this life and entered into his heavenly home on October 21, 2024 hearing the words “Welcome Home, Thou Good and Faithful Servant!”
Kenneth was born August 19, 1943 to the late Mark and Ruth (Cramner) Wolf of Tiffin. He graduated Tiffin Columbian High School class of 1961. He entered the United States Navy in December of 1961 as an Electronics Technician serving on the U.S.S. Valley Forge. He married Gladys (Miller) on December 29, 1964 in Bucyrus. Kenneth and Gladys resided in Tiffin and eventually moved to Fremont where they raised their family. He worked at various businesses over the years as a computer analyst, eventually retiring from the Sandusky County Auditor's Office.
Kenneth was a faithful husband and loving father. He and Gladys were soul mates, always together throughout their sixty years of marriage. They were often spotted holding hands strolling through town or anywhere they went. He loved Gladys with all of his heart and always made sure to let everyone know. He would constantly tell his children how beautiful their mother was.
Kenneth was a dedicated and loving father to his five children, always making sure they were taken care of. He brought them up in the fear, nurture and admonition of the Lord. He is remembered for his love of God, prayer and dedication to reading the Bible. Every time his children would visit he would tell them he was praying for them daily. One of his famous admonitions to his children each day as he left for work was “Remember Jesus sees everything you do and hears everything you say.”
Kenneth was also a very funny man and always had a story or joke that would make everyone around him laugh. He was a loving grandfather to his thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, always teaching them the same lessons he taught his own children.
Kenneth loved being outside and enjoyed God’s creation. He loved trees and planted his own “forest” to enjoy. He also loved collecting rocks and marveled at the intricate details of each one. Kenneth attended Harvest Baptist Temple in Clyde and always admired his Pastor Allen Holmes. He had a passion for supporting missionaries spreading the gospel around the world.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of sixty years Gladys Wolf, his children, Mark (Joan) Wolf of Tiffin, Joanne Moyer of Johnstown, OH, Colleen (Timothy) Hankins of Huron, OH, Junice (Thomas) Neate of Milan, OH and Jonathan (Melissa) Wolf of Fremont, thirteen grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Joshua, Jessica, Brooke, Alex, Lauryn, Kristen, Andrew, Kaden, Emily, Abigail and Hannah.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, David Moyer and a sister, Phyllis Bickel.
Funeral services for Kenneth will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2024 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Allen Holmes officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Fairmont cemetery.
