Kristine S. Hampshire

Kristine S. Hampshire, 72, of Republic, passed away Sunday November 7, 2021, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

Kris was born November 14, 1948 in Tiffin, to the late Norman and Barbara (Hensinger) Hampshire.

She is survived by her brother, John (Terri) Hampshire of Bloomville, a niece, Tarah Hacker of Republic, and a nephew, Jacob Hacker of Bloomville.

Kris was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Nick Hampshire who passed away 2020.

Kris worked as a purchasing coordinator, and had worked in the cities of Chicago, Atlanta, and San Diego, California, and finally moving back to Republic in 2000. She then worked for Ameriwood in Tiffin, and retired in 2017.

She was a 1966 graduate of Scipio-Republic High School, a 1971 graduate of Blackburn University in Carlinville, Illinois. She enjoyed game night with her family, and was an avid reader, especially Steven King books, Kris also enjoyed traveling, especially traveling to the desert.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Farewell Retreat Cemetery on South SR. 19 in Republic, with Chaplin Ben Sandrock officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice, or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
