LaDonna Jo Burks

LaDonna Jo Burks, 66, of Tiffin, passed away at 4:38 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania.

LaDonna was born in Welch, WV, on September 27, 1955 to the late Glen Meade and Willie Mae (Wade) Hamilton. She married Jackie "Jack" Burks on May 17, 1974 in Bettsville and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2021.

Survivors include her daughter, Shawn (Jeff) Lind of Vermilion, a son, Jason Burks of Tiffin, five grandchildren, Corporal Erik Fetterhoff, Andrew Lind, Aaron Lind, Alyssa (Lind) Fields, Autumn Burks, a great-grandson, Hudson Lind, two sisters, Karen Smith of Old Fort and Joyce Stewart of Fort Seneca and close family friends, "The Waymies".

LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Daniel Meade and Glenn "Shorty" Meade.

LaDonna worked in retail for Hardee's Restaurant and Big Lots and was a member of the Greater Saint James Church in Fremont. LaDonna enjoyed praising God, camping, four wheeling, playing the organ, researching the family history and just being around people and spending time with her family.

A joint funeral service for LaDonna and her husband, Jack will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Todd Chance. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Pleasant Union cemetery.
