Larry Carl Kuntz, 77, of Bloomville, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at his residence.

Larry was born in Tiffin, on December 4, 1945 to the late Carl and Kathryn (Fox) Kuntz. He married Sandra Sue (Altman) at Bloomville United Church of Christ on September 9, 1967 and she survives in Bloomville.

Survivors include his son, Graig (Terri) Kuntz of Arcadia, daughter, Deborah Kieffer of Clyde, five grandchildren, Angie (Huston) Higgins, Brendan Baker, Taylor Fieger, Trent Kieffer, Alexis (Kevin) McGough, three great-grandchildren, Nash Higgins, Eleanor McGough and Hayes Higgins and a sister, Barbara Shoup of Bloomville.

Larry worked as a farmer and carpenter for many years. He was a member of Bloomville United Church of Christ, Bloomville America Legion and was an avid hunter not only in Ohio but on his brother-in-law’s Wyoming ranch. He was a 1965 graduate of Bloomville High School and an Army National Guard Veteran.

Larry loved his family, especially his wife, Sandra of 56 years. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports throughout their careers and watching them grow into adults and his three great-grandchildren had a way of lighting up his face like nothing else. Larry enjoyed traveling and relaxing with the family during long weekends at his son and daughter-in-law’s cabin on Iron Lake, MI.

Larry was a big sports fan, especially the Pittsburg Steelers, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. Larry had an incredible memory for sports facts and stats, not only for his favorite teams, but for the majority of the sports teams.
