Leonard A. Longo, 85 of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Leonard was born June 23, 1938, in Tiffin, to the late Francesco and Philomena (Colatruglio) Longo. He married Jane A. (Baker) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on November 24, 1962.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Jane Longo of Tiffin, children, Mary Ann (Patrick) McDermott of Cincinnati, Frank (Laura) Longo of Tiffin, Renee (Richard) Dzurnak of Broadview Heights, OH, Kristina (John) Osborn of Tiffin, ten grandchildren, Brett Holding, Lydia (Sam) Bair, Leonardo, Madylin and Joseph Longo, Nicholas and William Dzurnak, Philomena, Eric, and Jacob Osborn, four sisters, Sister Marianne Longo of Fremont, Connie (Robert) Archer of Tiffin, Rose Mangus of Tiffin and Rita (Edward) Schwab of Tiffin.
Leonard was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a woodworker. He was a self taught musician and enjoyed spending time with his family and most of all his grandchildren. Leonard was a proud United States Navy Veteran.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Frank Longo, two sisters, Joanne Elchert and Carol Longo and a grandson, Alexander Dzurnak.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. Burial will follow the services on Saturday, at St. Mary’s cemetery with Military Rites being rendered by the United Veterans Council. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvert High School Foundation or to Stein Hospice.
