Lois J. Showman, 94, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Lois was born in Sandusky, on March 19, 1929 to the late Roy and Louise (Lawrence) Anderson. She married Donald L. Showman on October 4, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sandusky and he preceded her in death on August 12, 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Darlene) Showman of Bloomville, Thomas (Cynthia) Showman of Willard, two daughters, Brenda (Prentice) Meeks of Davenport, FL, Karen (Mark) Lindsey of Republic, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Lois worked as a nurse’s aide at Tiffin State Hospital and Ruffing Family Care Center in Bloomville. She was 1947 graduate of Sandusky High School who enjoyed ceramics, dancing, boating and spending time with her family and her many friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, a special friend for many years, James Grahl, a brother, Roy Anderson and a sister, Thelma Marinello.
Funeral services for Lois will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday, at Woodlawn cemetery.
