Lucille Philomena Schock

Lucille Philomena Schock, 90, of Attica, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on July 5, 2026.  

Lucille was born on September 16, 1935 to the late Clarence and Corinne (Reinhart) Williams.  She met her future husband, Anthony Schock, while she was a housekeeper for his mother and father.  They married on August 16, 1958 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church and were married 61 years when Anthony passed away on October 22, 2019.  

Lucille’s loving legacy will be forever shared by her children, Father Ronald Schock of Plymouth, Roger (Missy Bowerman) Schock of Fremont, Raymond (Sharon) Schock of Bloomville, Rebecca (Tom) Gies of Monroeville, Regina (Brian) Reamer of Tiffin, and Ruth (Patrick) Pifher of Attica, her grandchildren, Mike (Krystal), Mindy (Brad), Matthew (Brianne), Adam (Nikki), Mark, Jennifer (Nick), Ashley (Matt), Kady, Alexandria, Lily, and Lucas, and great-grandchildren, Emellia, Pheona, Nicole, Bradly, Carter, Jensen, Vincent, Grayden, Maribeth, Elijah, Brielle, Wyatt, Emma, Aubrey, and Evelynn.  She is also survived by her brothers, Firmin Williams and Richard Williams, and her sister, Connie (Don) Depinet and special family member, Yvonne Schock.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Scherger and Dorothy Coppler.

Lucille was a life-long farmer, working side by side with her husband, spending countless hours in the dairy barn and the fields, while caring for her 6 children.  Lucille loved to sew, including her own wedding dress with her first sewing machine and many priest vestments.  She enjoyed gardening and baking.  Everyone looked forward to her elderberry pies and caramel corn.  For many years, Lucille proudly made the German Potato Salad for the festival at her parish, Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.  The holidays were very special to her with many memories made, especially Thanksgiving of 2024 when Bishop Daniel Thomas was the special guest.  Lucille truly enjoyed spending time with her family and was so proud of them.  

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 3:00 till 7:00p.m, at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville and on Thursday, July 9, from 9:30 until 10:30a.m, at the church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica with her son, Fr. Ron Schock officiating.  Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Tiffin.
