Lucille Ann “Lucy” McClellan, 94 of Tiffin, passed away at 11:20 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital. She was just nine days shy of her 95th birthday and she out lived twelve of her thirteen siblings.
Lucy was born September 27, 1929 in Gibsonburg, to the late Anthony and Adelina (Ricci) Ruggiero. She married Russell J. Logsdon and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1952. On November 12, 1955 she married Eugene P. “Mac” McClellan at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin.
Survivors include her children, Russell Logsdon of Tiffin, Ronald Logsdon of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Bryan (Deana) McClellan of Republic, Stephanie (Adams) Engle of Tiffin, and Pamela (David M.) Wise of Tiffin, eleven grandchildren, Alicia (Ryan) Smith, Veronica (George Turner) Logsdon, Clarissa Logsdon, Tricia Weickert, Timothy Feasel, Arielle Engle, Abigail (Eric Herman) Engle, Jessica (James Smyser) Wise, Nichole Lange, Andrew Engle and Lily Foreman. She also has sixteen great-grandchildren, with two more expected. Seven great-great grandchildren complete the family. She is also survived by her last living brother, Anthony “Tony” Ruggiero, Jr. and her brother, Frank’s wife Mary Ruggiero.
She was preceded in death by eight sisters, Carmela “Mollie” Aiello, Ann Kiesel, Grace Mangiola, Liz Porter, Maggie Aiello, Mary Shimer, Patricia Klopp, Alice Burkhart and three brothers, Bartholomew “Ben” Ruggiero, Daniel Ruggiero and Frank Ruggiero.
Lucy attended Calvert High School. In her younger years she worked at the Tiffany and the Glove factory. After marrying “Mac” she became a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom raising her five children. Lucy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she first met her husband of 57 years of marriage.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Jesse Chick and Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, from 2-5:00 p.m., at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
