Marilyn June Kisabeth

Marilyn June Kisabeth, 92, of Tiffin passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at The Willows at Tiffin.

She was born December 14, 1931 in Maple Grove, Ohio, the daughter of Carl and Ethel (Hiett) Riehm.  Marilyn graduated from Bettsville High School in 1948 with additional course work from Tiffin University.  She married Forrest Kisabeth on June 11, 1950 and had two children, Larry Jay Kisabeth and Bradley Scott Kisabeth.  Marilyn and Forrest were married for 63 years prior to Forrest’s death in 2014.

In addition, to Forrest, Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ethel Riehm, and her two sisters, Evelyn Creeger and Annabel Creeger.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Deborah) Kisabeth of Tiffin, and Bradley (Christine) Kisabeth of Toledo, Ohio.  Larry and Debbie have three children, Kathleen, C. Jay, and Robert. C. Jay and wife, Kiva, have two children, Griffin and Bishop.  Robert and wife, Laura, have two children, Cade, and Quinn.

Bradley and Christine have two children, Sarah Bucher and Jordan Kisabeth.

Sarah, with husband, Brett, have two children, Jack and Henry.

Marilyn, a life-long bookkeeper, worked for Creeger Implement, Hopewell-Loudon Schools, and Engle-Shook Funeral Home.  After retirement she volunteered at Mercy Hospital.

Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother, always placing others first.  She will always be remembered for her infectious and warm personality, her affection for her family members and willingness to do for others.

She was very talented and loved her music, arts, crafts, and crocheting making many keepsakes for many people throughout the community.

A special thanks goes to The Willows at Tiffin for giving her the best care.  A special thank you also goes to DaVita, the staff of the Tiffin Mercy ER, and her many doctors and nurses who gave her so much TLC.

Funeral services for Marilyn will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2024 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Pleasant Ridge cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Willows at Tiffin, Faith United Methodist Church, or the Allen Eiry Center in Tiffin.
