Marjorie J. "Margie" Varnes, 92, of Bellevue, passed away at 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at The Willows in Bellevue.
Margie was born on August 16, 1928 in Republic, to the late Rollie R. and Nellie Mae (Auble) Hepperly. She married Donald Varnes in Republic on February 13, 1959 and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2018.
Other survivors include her son, Dennis (Rebecca) Brown of Tiffin, three daughters, Dianne Welhelm of Green Springs, Barbara Hendrix of Randolph, OH, Linda (Jeff) Hoover of Republic, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Richard Hepperly and a sister, Wanda Tusing.
Margie worked at the General Electric Lamp Plant in Bellevue as a Incoming Inspector for 23 years and retired in 1985. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church the Order of the Eastern Star Cornelia Chapter #93, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Wade Benfer #404 in Republic and the Tiffin Ladies Shrine Club.
Funeral services for Margie will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Monday, from 12:00 p.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at Adams Lutheran Township cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital or to the charity of the donor's choice.
