Martha F. Loescher

On the morning of October 23, 2023 Martha F. Loescher of Powell, Ohio passed away at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Martha was born in Tiffin, Ohio on February 14, 1954. Martha was 69 years old. Martha is preceded in death by her father, Arthur W. Loescher, her mother Tulah I. Loescher, two sisters Donna L. Neal and Janis G. Marks.

She is survived by her two brothers, Arthur (Donna) Loescher, Mark (Linda)

Loescher, a brother-in-law, Thomas Mark and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiffin, and recently attended High Street Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. Being blind she completed her education at the Ohio State School for the Blind and then graduated from Bowling Green State University. She had a long career with the State of Ohio working in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. She retired in 2014.

Martha had lived on her own, living in apartments and houses in Worthington and Columbus. At the time of her death she was residing at Abbington of Powell, an Assisted Living Home.

Martha had a passion for music, playing the piano and keyboard. She was an accomplished singer as well and enjoyed singing and playing most often in church. She was truly fond of her Seeing Eye dogs that became her companion and guided her enabling her to go most anywhere.

A public visitation will take place Friday, October 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin, Ohio. She will be laid to rest at Fairmont Cemetery following the services on Friday.
