Martin J. Rice

Martin J. ”Marty” Rice, 67, of Toledo and former Bloomville resident, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2024, at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo.

Marty was born in Mansfield, on July 17, 1956, to the late William A. and Mary F. (Blaser) Rice.

Survivors include his brother, Chris (Tina) Rice of Bloomville, a sister, Julie (Dennis) Kochel of New Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marty worked as a florist at the Bart Viviano Flowers and Gifts in Toledo, retiring in 2021. He was a member of the Bloomville United Church of Christ. Marty was also a 1974 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.

It was Marty wishes that there will be no services conducted at this time. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
