Mary F. Weis

Mary F. Weis, 83, of Attica, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mary was born June 9, 1942 to the late Howard and Marie (Shambaugh) Setzler. She married Leo Weis and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Gary (Kari) Weis of Attica, daughter Rhonda Weis, grandchildren, Joseph (Andrea) Weis of Norwalk, Amanda Weis of Norwalk, Curtis Weis of Attica, Alex Hayes of Castalia, Marlene Hayes of Bettsville, and great-grandchildren, Khamdyn Weis, Cheyeanne Weis, Dominic Weis, and Reena Karr, and brother, David Setzler of Missouri.

Mary was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She spent her life working as a registered nurse with several places in Seneca County. Mary was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church, the Tiffin Art Guild, and the Redhats Society. She also loved to volunteer at the Attica Public Library and spent a lot of time drawing and painting.

Funeral services for Mary will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Thursday, from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Reed Assumption Cemetery in Attica.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sincere Hospice or St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church.
