Mary Ann Dentinger, 93, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at The Willows of Tiffin.
Mary Ann was born in Bucyrus, on February 25, 1930 to the late Clem and Barbara (Gwirtz) Durnwald. She married Raymond Dentinger in New Washington on May 3, 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2012.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Barbara) Dentinger of Attica, Linda (Dale Slater) King of Attica, Tom (Cathy) Dentinger of Bloomville, Carol (Rob Bauman) Waldock of Bloomville, Carl (Diane Loy) Dentinger of New Washington, Rick (Kelly) Dentinger of Bloomville, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, Eugene Durnwald of New Washington, James Durnwald of Tiffin, and Charles Durnwald of New Washington.
Mary Ann was a beautician and bus driver and was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica. Mary Ann had a large garden and was the Queen of canning, especially her vegetable soup. Mary Ann enjoyed playing bingo, taking bus trips to casinos and most of all she enjoyed watching her children at their sporting events.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Urban Durnwald and a sister, Eileen Kempf.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica with Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m., at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at St. Stephens Catholic cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve or St. Stephens Cemetery Fund.
