Melvin M. Creeger

Melvin M. Creeger, 72, formerly of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.

Melvin was born on July 7, 1948 in Fremont.

Survivors include Melvin's brother, Ray A. (Jill) Creeger of Bascom, a niece, Alexis Creeger, two nephews, Aric (Rachel) Creeger and Adam Creeger, and a grand-niece Lynlee.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice N. and Sylva R. (Dolch) Creeger.

Melvin was a United States Air Force Veteran and worked as a teacher in the prison system for 33 years. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion and volunteered frequently at COSI in Columbus. Melvin's niece and nephews were his life, he loved spending time with them.

A memorial service for Melvin will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Chaplains Jerry Copeland and Bob Simonsick officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Military honors will be rendered by the United Veteran's Council. There will be no burial at this time.
