Myron Koch Obituary

Myron E. “Mike” Koch, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Mike was born February 1, 1938, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Edwin E. and Dorothy (Smith) Koch. He married Janet (Haller) Koch in Sidney, Ohio, on June 15, 1977 and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children; Rhonda (Art) Brubaker of Tiffin, Robin (Ed) Jacobs of Tiffin, Kevin (Annette) Koch of Tiffin and Cheri (Todd) Giammo of Colorado, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Marilyn (Richard) Stelzer of North Carolina, and good friends; Bill Dryfuse, Stan Bour, and Kay Craw.

Mike was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1955 to 1959. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Tiffin, the Flag City Corvettes, and a former member of the Seneca Cruisers.

Mike was a jack of all trades. He would work on cars for his friends and family and especially loved restoring corvettes. When he wasn’t working on a car, he would spend time at car shows, head out to camp, take a trip to Florida, spend time with his companion, Daisy, and watch NASCAR or The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Edwin Koch Jr., and a sister, Bertha Ann Cunningham.

Funeral services for Mike will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2026 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Tiffin with Pastor Charlene Thomas officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow the services at Seneca Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus or The Flag City Honor Flight.
