Myrtle Joan “Myrt” Gray, 92, of Attica, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at The Courtyard in Fremont.
Myrt was born April 10, 1932 in Columbus Grove, to the late Albert and Edith (Schock) Featheringill. She married Marvin James Gray on May 19, 1950 in Attica and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard A. Gray of Tiffin and James M. (Denise) Gray of Attica, four grandchildren, Chad Gray, Matt (Kim) Gray, Ryan Gray all of Tiffin and Susanna Hale of Willard, five great-grandchildren, Garret Gray, Myla Gray, Addie Gray all of Tiffin, Kurt Utt of Attica and Jaxon Hale of Plymouth.
Myrt was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Edith Phillips, Ethel Stockmaster and Velma Gray, four brothers, Dwight, Harold, Ernie and Marion Featheringill.
Myrt worked as a Beautician and was the owner and operator of Myrt’s Beauty Shop for over 20 years. Myrt was a graduate of Warners School of Beauty Culture and enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat, shopping, shopping and shopping.
Funeral services for Myrt will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Pastor Ed Hunker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday at Omar cemetery.
