Ned J. Hossler, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Ned was born on May 29, 1934 in Bloomville, to the late Frank and Gertrude (Wagner) Hossler. He married Carol A. Hossler at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin on July 13, 1957 and she preceded him in death on May 18, 2024.
Survivors include her children, Lynne (Michael) O’Brien of Huron and Gary (Dora) Hossler of Tiffin, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a brother, John Werling of Tiffin and two sisters, June Hossler of Indianapolis, IN and Norma Wagner of Tiffin.
Ned worked as a Carpenter. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during Korea. Ned was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the VFW Post 2858. Ned received his pilot’s license in 1977 and bought a Cessna plane and enjoyed traveling the country in it with his friends.
Ned was preceded in death by his parents, wife, seven brothers, Eldon Hossler, Donald Hossler, Sgt. Robert Hossler, Phillip Hossler, Daryl Hossler, Douglas Hossler and Frank “Joe” Hossler and a sister, Gaye Louise Hossler.
Graveside services for Ned will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, July 1, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
