Nellie I. Ohler, 90, of Republic, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Nellie was born in Lewis County, KY, on October 17, 1935 to the late Roy and Dela (Cooley) Carver. She married Paul Ohler in Bucyrus on September 1, 1972 and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2006.
Survivors include her children, Wayne (Terry) Butler, Kenny (Nanette) Butler, Terri (Ron) Shulaw, Patricia (Perry) Perkins all of Republic, Rodney (Michelle) Ohler of Upper Sandusky, Leanna Thompson of Sycamore, Kristi (Christopher) Beamer and Robert (Judy) Ohler both of Bellevue, twenty-seven grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Nellie was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, gardening, doing ceramics and her flowers.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Ron and Roger Ohler and four sisters, Marge Meadows, Jean Sponsellar, Darlene Cobb, and Millie Whitworth.
Funeral services for Nellie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at Oakwood cemetery in Bucyrus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. or to Seneca County Humane Society.
