Nelson H. Carn

Nelson H. Carn, 89, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday October 26, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
He was born August 30, 1934, in Tiffin, to the late David and Mildred (Koons) Carn. Nelson married Nancy L. Simon in Findlay on March 25, 1956, and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2012.

Other survivors include his two daughters, Cheryl Cartwright of Tiffin and Julie Carn of Bloomville, two grandsons, James (Vanessa) Shumway of Fairborn and Matthew (Jacey) Lamma of Tiffin, two great-grandchildren, Brionna and Ethan, his sister, Dorothy Perkins of Willowick, and his close friend Marlene Matthews of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and four brothers, Cloyce, James, Clate, and Robert, two sisters, Priscilla Stopplbton, and Alice Bartlebaugh.
Nelson was a farmer and a tool and die maker by trade. He worked at Eaton Manufacturing in Fremont and retired from Atlas Industries in Tiffin.  His main hobby was farming and taking drives down to Amish country to see the countryside.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday October 31, 2023, from 12:00 p.m.-12:45 p.m. at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Private family graveside services will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Tiffin.
