Norma J. Babcock

Norma J. Babcock, 85, of Tiffin, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Fox Run in Findlay.

Norma was born on March 4, 1935, in Fostoria, to the late Clyde and Dorothy (Hampshire) Merritt. She married Ronald E. Babcock on August 6, 1955 and he preceded her in death.

Norma is survived by three children, Chris (Paula) Babcock of Findlay, Terry (Debbie) Babcock of Findlay, and Mike Babcock of Tiffin, and a sister, Carol Broome Bundy of Quincy, FL, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, Ken (Joyce) Babcock, and Ronald "Steven" Babcock, and a brother, James Merritt.

Norma graduated from Fostoria High School and worked for the Advertiser-Tribune in Tiffin. She was a member of Bascom United Methodist Church and enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports, playing cards, and reading.

There will be a memorial service for Norma at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Bascom United Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Durant officiating. Burial will follow the services on Saturday at Sandridge cemetery. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Bascom United Methodist Church.
