Norman James Brown, 82, of Sycamore, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
Norman was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, May 31, 1938, to the late Milton J. and Eula (Armitage) Brown. He married Carolyn (Harding) in Bloomville on August 6, 1961.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Carolyn Brown of Sycamore; children, Kevin D. (Tracy) Brown of Attica, Michelle R. (Todd) Williams of Sycamore, Daniel E. (Deborah) Brown of Pearland, TX; seven grandchildren, Shaye Brown, Chase, Jaden Williams, Alec, James, Grace, Luke Brown and a brother-in-law, Dwight Rothhaar of Oceola.
Norman retired from the Bloomville Quarry as a Loader Operator. He was a member of the Wayside Chapel in Bucyrus. He enjoyed woodworking, engine upkeep, campfires and going to his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Norman was a 1957 graduate of Chatfield High School.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Johanna Rothhaar.
Funeral services for Norman will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Wayside Chapel in Bucyrus with Pastor Timothy Compton officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, from 4-6 p.m., also at the church. Burial will follow the services on Saturday, at Attica-Venice cemetery. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
