Norman C. Schmucker, 75, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo after a sudden illness.
Norman was born March 28, 1945, in Fremont, to the late Charles and E. May (Rutherford) Schmucker.
Survivors include one sister, Lela Brookes of Bloomville, eight nieces and nephews, Linda and Phil Drake of Bloomville, Robert Schmucker of Ellenwood, Kansas, Adam and Kay Schmucker of Tiffin, John and Kelly Brookes, Paul Brookes, Brian and Kathy Brookes Gerry and Cindy Brookes all of Bloomville, and Tammy and Brian Miller of Green Springs.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Glenn and William Schmucker, a sister, Lucille Brookes, a nephew Glenn Alan Schmucker and a great-niece, Rebecca Schmucker.
Norman was a 1963 graduate of Scipio- Republic High School, a United States Marine Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Norman worked at Tiffin General Electric for several years. He was a member of the Tiffin Amvets and the Tiffin Eagles.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday July 23, 2020, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville. Military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19 Bloomville, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
