Pamela L. Eix, 77, of Fremont, and formerly of Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at home, warm in her bed.
Pam was born January 30, 1946, in Gary, IN and was adopted by the late Ellsworth F. and Mary M. (Kleppinger) Meyer. She married Curt Joseph and they later divorced. She married Paul Eix and he preceded her in death in 2011.
Survivors include her children, Bruce (Teresa) Joseph of Fremont, Melissa Joseph of Toledo and Kim (Brad) Shank of Fremont, grandchildren, Megan (Ben) Johansen of Tiffin, Brant (Tristan Murdock) Shank of Fremont, Lauren (Cole) Barricklow of NC, Brooke Shank of MN, Ian Joseph of Fremont and Cameron Joseph of Fremont, brothers, Edward “Eddie” (Cosette “Cosie”) Lloyd of IN and Jeff Rasmussen of FL.
Pam worked as an executive assistant and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Kentucky. She spent her days creating personalized needlepoint canvases, baking copious amounts of sweets for her family, watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite moments were the times spent playing Tripoley with her kids and grandkids and winning.
Pam was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, Spencer Felkel and a brother, Doug Rasmussen.
There will be a private family graveside service held at Oakwood cemetery in Fremont. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
