Patricia A. Holmer

Patricia Ann (Manning) Holmer, 67, of Attica, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Patricia was born in Silver Creek, New York, on February 13, 1959 to the late Gerald Elroy Manning and Maryann (Hammon) Manning. She was lovingly raised from childhood by Rebecca Ruth Manning with her siblings Frank Manning, James Manning, William Manning, and Gerald "Russ" Manning.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Patricia was a devout Catholic. She worked with the Sisters of St. Francis of Tiffin and was actively engaged in an associate program for Christian women who shared in Franciscan spirituality and mission.

Patricia dedicated her life to caregiving. She spent many years working with the elderly and individuals with developmental disabilities.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years Kenneth Holmer.

Patricia was a loving mother, to Eric (Erin) Holmer, Craig (Janice) Holmer, and Erin (Joshua) Rubin.  Her greatest joy was her role as “Nanny.” She was a proud and devoted Nanny to SrA Olivia R. Holmer, Aiden & Mason Holmer, and Jonathon, Scott, and Madalyn Haver. She loved spending time with her grandkids - whether cheering them on at sporting events or taking summer road trips. She was especially proud to be an Air Force grandmother.

Patricia found joy in camping with her cousin, Mooch, and traveling with her sister-in-law Jane, and her friends from church and previous work.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2026 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica with Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at St. Peter & Paul cemetery in Attica.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Francis or American Legion Auxiliary Post 260 in Attica.
