Patricia R. Murphy

Patricia R. Murphy, 93, of Burgoon, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont.

Patricia was born October 25, 1931, in Tiffin, to the late Upton Dale and Dorothy (Mitten) Cole. She married Ned R. Murphy in Angola, IN on November 10, 1951 and he preceded her in death February 21, 2010.

Survivors include her children, Colleen Carr of Risingsun, Lura (Ron) Greener of Oak Harbor, Jodie Schmidt of Fremont, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Linda Keckler of Tiffin.

Patricia was a homemaker and a graduate of Calvert High School.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Julie Murphy, son-in-law, James Carr and a sister, Jean Stover.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m., on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Bettsville. There will be no funeral services held at this time. Burial will be held at a later date at Pleasant Union cemetery in Old Fort.
